About

I work as the Systems Librarian at Louisiana State University Libraries. I manage the library’s ILS (SirsiDynix Symphony), which includes the catalog. Lately I’ve been working with our discovery service, which we call Discovery, appropriately enough, but which is also known as EBSCO Discovery Service or EDS.

Along with many Louisiana academic libraries, LSU Libraries is part of the LOUIS consortia. I currently co-chair the LOUIS Reports Working Group, which is looking at standardizing the processes that we use to extract statistics from our ILS.

I’m a member of the American Library Association (ALA), Library and Information Technology Assocation (LITA), and the Louisiana Library Association (LLA). In addition to those organizations’ related conferences, you might also run into me at the LOUIS Users Conference (LUC) and COSUGI conference.

I’ve been with LSU Libraries since June of 2012. Before that, I worked for ten years with the East Baton Rouge Public Library. I got my MLIS and undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University.
